Cervical Cancer: When shouldn't I take this test?

You should not use this test if: 

• You are pregnant or have just given birth, had a miscarriage or terminated a pregnancy in the last 3 months
• You do not have a cervix
 
• You have a current diagnosis of cervical cancer.


Before taking your test:

• If you’re menstruating, please delay taking the test until after you have finished bleeding.
• A
void sex, or using any vaginal medicines, lubricants, creams, or spermicides, in the two days before you take the test
