Why is it important to test for Diabetes?

Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disease which is becoming increasingly common across all ages. Up to one-third of adults in the UK have pre-diabetes and are at risk of developing diabetes.  High blood sugar for a prolonged period of time can damage your blood vessels - which can potentially lead to heart attacks and strokes. Diabetes can also cause damage to your kidneys, making it more difficult to clear extra fluid and waste from your body.

Our diabetes test allows you to test your HbA1c levels (your average blood sugar level over the last three months) using a painless TAP II device. By checking your HbA1c levels, you can understand your risk of pre-diabetes and diabetes.
