Most users won’t see a CAPTCHA when verifying their phone number, but if you do, it usually means your device couldn’t complete automatic verification. Here are some steps that often resolve the issue:
- Try a different network. Turn off your Wi-Fi and try using mobile data instead. If you’re on public Wi-Fi or a corporate network, these can sometimes block reCAPTCHA.
- Turn on Background App Refresh. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and ensure it’s enabled turned on.
- Turn off Low Power Mode. Low Power Mode can prevent the verification from working. Disable it in Settings > Battery before trying again.
- Clear Safari cache and data. Go to Settings > Safari, then tap Clear History and Website Data.
